Christine Sodt

My fiber art reflects my love of color, texture and nature. Recently I have been drawn to the creation of the fabric as strongly as I have been to creating art quilts. I love to rip fabric, add color to it, remove color from it, and screen print. I have studied surface design with Jane Dunnewold for the past five years. Most all of my work this year has been in the creation of as much as 75 yards of art cloth used to create a particular mood at special events. The very process is always an exciting and mysterious journey. The serendipity captivates my creative spirit.
